Fairs and markets may be organised and/or held at an area where the urban planning plan allows for the organisation of a fair or a market, or which has the consent to use the area for the purpose of organising a fair and the operating a local producers’ market. Depending on the nature of the fair or market, the products sold at the area and the activities carried out there, the area shall comply with the legal requirements on building, public health, food chain safety, food hygiene, animal health, plant health, environmental protection, cultural heritage protection, occupational safety and fire safety, and shall have waste storage facilities to ensure the selective collection of waste generated during the activity.
