Budapest 11 Notification of the pursuit of commercial activities, operation licence

Persons wishing to engage in commercial activities shall notify their intention to do so.  In the case of commercial activities subject to notification, commercial activities may be carried out in Hungary after their being notified to the competent notary, and, in the case of products to be sold in shops, after the possession of a valid operation licence. The following are to be distinguished: commercial activities subject to notification and commercial activities subject to an operation licence. Products subject to notification: products specified in Annex 6 to Government Decree No 210 of 29 September 2009 on the conditions for the performance of commercial activitiesIf products subject to notification are to be distributed, only a notification is required. Following a notification submitted completely, commercial activity may be started immediately. Products to be sold in shops: products defined in Annex 3 to the Government Decree.
