Surrender of industrial property right

The applicant/breeder or the right holder entered in the register may surrender industrial property protection by a written declaration addressed to the HIPO. In case of surrender provisional protection shall terminate with retroactive effect to the date of the application, definitive protection shall terminate on the day following receipt of the surrender or at an earlier date specified by the person surrendering protection.
